A gravel garden in south west Cambridgeshire was part of a larger garden already developed by the client. The new area was to form an entertaining area adjacent to a new green oak pavilion.
Part of a former Menage for training horses, this are area had a vey deep limestone base already in place. As the area was within the main garden great care was taken to protect all existing turf and surfaces during the works. Our team excavated for planting areas and imported topsoil, laid a large terrace of sandstone with a rill and pool. Our carpenters then created two green oak pergolas at the entrances to match with the pavilion.
The gravel garden and pavilion became a destination within the garden and a fantastic space for entertaining guests within the garden.
